Fresh Off the Boat, Season 1

I hands down love this show! I hope it continues on because this is my go to show when I need a good laugh! I can rewatch this show over and over, which is rare for me these days!

Witty writing and excellent delivery make this show one of my new favorites. As a 2nd generation Asian American, I like how this show can poke fun at some of the experiences we (Chinese Americans) have (i.e. grocery shopping in Chinatown vs any corporate American supermarket). It's also refreshing to see a different perspective of what an American family looks like on screen. Overall great series and I can't wait to watch the 2nd and 3rd seasons!

Not worth watching this is a stupid sitcom

A great show that is entertaining and funny, with great characters. And it confronts racism while also providing an interesting perspective on growing up!

I hope this show goes on for a while

If you can get over how many times 'white people ' is used as a cultarually derogatory pharse then you'll be able to enjoy the stereotyping of the show. Unfortunately the PG of today allows for muliple sexual innuendo and derogatory content at "white people". The current racist trend of selling Irish, German , European, Italian, and like 'skin toned' people whether culturally diverse or not as some sort of placid lemmings is adversely as insulting as the script it's trying to imlply as racistas it is racist itself. This new fad of being beltiitted as corrupt based on your skin tone is just as racist as the source material here claims it is subject to. The humor pulls off it's tones with laughable sublety but is just as damaging and irresponsable as it claims it is 'victim' to. just because it's pulled off humorously does not make it ok to marginalize and generalize persons on skin tone. The cast is great but PG is not appropriate and just because you can laugh it off with wit doesn't make it ok despite the simple mindedness of it's mostly 'white' audience. If you hate yourself for being "white" then check your self worth at the door and enjoy the other laughs while the racist ones blow over your 'whitey' head.

This show is GREAT! I love how the characters relate to each other and the way jokes are developed. It sends up racist stereotypes in a funny and sweet way. Plus any show which has Danny Brown doing it’s intro theme song has got to have something going on that’s good.

Really stupid!

Very surprised by how highly so many rated this show. I would guess, based on the poor quality of the writing, the bad acting, and the thin plot line, the ratings were stacked by the producers of the show! It’s not funny or even entertaining. Skip it.
