Proof in any were needed that the bbc still can't produce convincing drama unless it's a period costume affair, where everyone is supposed to act wooden and repressed. We know Gillian Anderson can act, so it must be the script and direction. I also think suspense and fear could have been more artfully built, less is so often more - instead we get to be voyeurs in the directors lingering, painful and subversive fantasies, which I really didn't want to share thanks, and just made me feel uncomfortable, instead of anxious or fearful for the characters. And no variation in pace either, just slow, slow, meaningful looks out of windows, slow. A nice idea, I wanted to like it more than I did, a shame

Series 2 was brilliant. Had to wait a bit for the last episode to be released - but was well worth it. Defiantly one to watch! Recommended!

This is by far the best thing the BBC has made in several years, Gillian Anderson is fantastic as always. A must see.

Gripping, tense and amazingly acted. Gillian Anderson is brilliant. Btw- "24Matt" your review makes no sense. Gillian Anderson was raised in London and has a British accent in real life! lol. Fool.
  • Good, but starting to get too far-fetched..

Why the delay in episodes being added, beyond the first one? Now on week 3 episode on the television... Had hoped additional updates would have been kept more current than this..
  • Cringey and unrealistic

I turned off near the end of the 1st episode. A victim tells the killer the evidence she has. Another woman says to the killer 'I'm actually really blonde' when he targets blonde people. And what child says to a stanger who walks into their house 'Who are you?... I'll show you where my bedroom is'. No a child would scream! This is so awful to watch and none of it makes any sense at all, a load of rubbish, don't watch it if you like something that has some plausabillty !

Amazingly dull, terrible start for the first series part two - really the first series just stopped in the middle I only bought the second for closure - Gillian Anderson’s acting in this is terrible, admittedly she can do a passable English accent, but the novelty of an 'American who can' wore out in episode one of the first series, I tend to agree with the misogyny comment above, if it doesn’t improve it’s not worth the energy to watch at any price
