With the Authority in flames, TruBlood in short supply and humans and vampires in open conflict, a plethora of new threats arise for Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) and her Bon Temps allies in Season Six of the hit HBO series. As "Billith" comes to terms with his new powers after emerging from a pool of blood at the close of Season Five, Louisiana governor Truman Burrell (Arliss Howard) declares open season on vampires, replete with novel anti-vamp weapons and a high-tech internment camp. Meanwhile, Sookie and Jason steel themselves for an encounter with the killer of their parents: the mysterious and ancient Warlow.

  • Too short!

Only 10 episodes! What's happening every show I buy with season pass, it's shorter and shorter!, I like it but I feel something is missing!
  • True Blood Season 6

True Blood has been an amazing show. This season is no different. While the human storyline is really interesting, the plot and characters are not as complex and interesting as the first three seasons. Overall, True Blood is extremely entertaining and this season was fantastic with the exception of the finale. Also, the first two episodes of season 7 are really bad but the third episode has convinced me that they can bring a satisfying conclusion to this great series. Even though Alan Ball left to run Banshee on Cinemax, the show is still great and ultimately better than bizarre Season 5. However, 10 episodes is really too short for a season.
  • Pass on this one

The only thing keeping you watching this season is morbid curiosity. Let's face it. Season 1 and 3 are the best. Forget the rest.
  • One more season to go

I agree with the fans that believe the last couple of seasons were sloppy and erratic. They did not possess the charm, careful writing, and fun character development that the earlier seasons had. I was very reluctant to start season six but I did complete it a moment ago. The episodes this round were much better compared to previous seasons however there are some scenes and dialogue that seem out of place or just stupidly silly instead of witty. Its really hard to decide how “good” season 6 is because it did leave a lot up in the air. So much has happened in the show (be it the many plots or odd changes in character) that I don’t know that I feel the same attachment or love for the characters/story that I used to.
  • Why?

I personally found the fall of Season 5 to be awesome. Sure, it was *SPOILER* about the authority and how their power can cause great consequence most of the time, unlike the other 4 seasons, but at the same time, you have to pay attention to season 4’s outcome. If you actually listen to the storyline, you can tell that’s where the story was headed for season 5, due to what happened in season 4. So don’t say it sucked, because really, whether all of it happened in five episodes or not, it still would have happened. Sure, it was a bit outstretched with the 12 episode season, but I found season 5 to be a bit of a clean slate, to show that what has happened in the past can be altered with this season. So now, with season 6, I fell in love with True Blood yet again. By this time, the show has left the books alone, taking just the focal points of the main storyline and using them in unique ways. Season 6 was the first season with a 10 episode run, and season 7 will be the last, as well as the final season. So, with the events of season 6, I am proud to say it was a great season. They made room with new ideas with the events in season 5, causing season 6 to blow my mind in many ways. I am really curious to see how, after season’s 6 outro of “RADIOACTIVE”, they will pan out the final 10 hours of True Blood’s moments in just that, 10 hours. With all the best, the books are WAAAAYY better, but the originality of the show has kept me hooked and kept me a fan.
  • Not as good as it once was

Ever since the end of the 3rd season, True Blood has slowly been on the decline. Although it is ultimately my favorite show, I think it's about time it comes to a close.
  • I love it

This show is definitely the best show out now.
  • Still strong....

    By xnode
Was not sure how this season would go, thinking most plots where closed in previous seasons and how can you twist and turn this series even more. But even still after watching this full season it is stronger then ever. I will be honest as well and say there where points that I felt it was being stretch out, IE love scenes and other more social aspects but this does add to the realism (if you can have such in a show like this) of the characters and more. All in all it is still 5 stars in my book.
