In 2004 Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman embarked on an epic Long Way Round challenge, to bike 20,000-miles, cross 12 countries and 19 time zones in just 115 days. Riding motorcycles they crossed Europe, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan and Mongolia to ride the Road of Bones through Siberia, over to Alaska, through Canada, North America and finished in New York. Long Way Round is the result of their adventures - a fascinating, frank and highly entertaining series about two friends riding round the world together and, against all the odds, realizing their dream.

Great show of the friends motorcycle trip from Britain to NY. The ups & downs they faced, emotionally & physically. It's a must watch & own for those who are motorcycle enthusiasts.
  • The Real Deal

This is a great adventure story that happens to be on motorcycles and happens to have famous actors in it. But first and foremost it's a great story. As a person who considers themselves a hard core rider I didn't want to watch a pair of movie stars pretend to do an adventure on motorcycles with a support crew in tow. Pussies! But then friends and family told me how good the story was and I relented. To say that I was impressed is an understatement. Both Charley and Ewan are "true" motorcyclists who get what it is to adventure on a bike. They travel the "right" way and don't shy away from the adventure. I came away from the story with huge respect for them as riders - something I didn't expect at all.

This was FANtastic. I absolutely LOVED it. So many things. But perhaps most especially the beautiful relationship between Charly and Ewan. It was fascinating getting a close up view of the love and friendship they share. I have rarely seen such total support with not a hint of true competitiveness among men. How refreshing!
