Description

In this epic adventure thriller, a family struggles to reunite in a post-apocalyptic American landscape: a world of empty cities, local militias and heroic freedom fighters, where every single piece of technology – computers, planes, cars, phones, even lights – has mysteriously blacked out … forever. A grand romantic saga with sweeping scope and intimate focus, this drama is seen through the eyes of one strong-willed young woman, Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos), and her brother, Danny (Graham Rogers). When Danny is kidnapped by militia leaders for a darker purpose, Charlie must reconnect with her estranged uncle Miles (Billy Burke), a former marine, living a reclusive life. Together, with a rogue band of survivors, they set out to rescue Danny, overthrow the militia and ultimately re-establish the United States of America - all the while, exploring the mystery of why the power failed, and if (or how) it will ever return.

Not in a good way, the world is supposed to be in chaos yet the girls hair is always perfectly done, and not a spot of dirt on her face, acting to serious to take her seriously. save your money, buy True Detectives if you want to see good tv.

I have been reading comments that say this show is unrealistic because of the fact that they have guns, cleanleness, and nice hair. Guns would still work because they don't require power. Cleanleness would still be possible because of the fact that you can heat water with a fire. Nice hair is possible because you could cut your hair without power. I get my hair cut with scissors, not clippers. This show is truely amazing and I hope NBC keeps it around for more than two seasons.

The idea behind Revolution was good but all around poor execution in almost every field. Nothing much to add beyond that

It looks and sounds so promisong at first glance and it has JJ Abrams as a tag. But a good idea follows a stupid execution. This wants to be an epic, but fails on so many levels. It’s badly written, unaccaptable illogical, in some parts very dumb and badly acted. Really, after a few episodes I tried to count the moments, where people do something really stupid, something an average educated human would never do in that situation. During the season you come up with a dozend moments per episodes. I really don’t expect everything to be perfectly thought through, but this is beyond reason. Most of the credit goes to Charlie, one of the main characters, an insanely stupid and annoying chick. Also the rest of the cast has it’s moments, even the Militia, a bunch of Hillibillies who somehow managed to rule a great part of what was once the USA. But I can’t go too deep without spoilers. To be honest: beyond this stupidity it is still fun to watch, because you want to know, what insane stunt will be pulled next. This could have been an exceptional series, if it would have been darker (although the body count is high), better written and acted. Gulity pleasure, but far from exceptional.
