Description

Bravo’s The Real Housewives franchise presents a slice of life amongst affluent, educated women, some raising kids, some driving careers, all interacting with friends and family as determined by the unwritten social rules of the Beltway. With the franchise’s expansion to our nation’s capital, The Real Housewives of D.C. introduces five intriguing women whose relationships with each other, and with the city in which they live, are a compelling combination to explore the nexus of politics, society, and even race, as well as how the proximity to political power dictates where one fits within Beltway society. These connected D.C. power players all have their pulse on the most important cultural events, political galas, gallery openings, and fundraisers in Washington society. They are: Mary Schmidt Amons, the true Washingtonian and granddaughter of radio and TV personality Arthur Godfrey; the mother hen and owner of D.C.’s top modeling agency, Lynda Erkiletian; feisty Brit Catherine Ommanney, married to a White House photographer; model and founder of D.C.’s America’s Polo Cup, Michaele Salahi who became the focus of media attention following the White House state dinner last November; and Harvard grad, active political fund-raiser, and philanthropist Stacie Scott Turner. Bringing viewers inside the lives and homes of movers and shakers in the community, the D.C. housewives move comfortably from fundraisers and prominent events to discussing everything from issues about race to money and politics to relationships and high fashion.

I am a fan of The Real Housewives of NEW YORK so decided to ignore the bad reviews and judge for myself but found they were right - it's garbage! And I am DELETING it from my ipod. A better "reality show" would be buying a cup of coffee and observing the real people of your own local coffee-house, Mall or grocery store. Only Seinfeld is actually entertaining with a show about nothing.
  • It is okay

This only part of this season that is interesting, is the salahi drama and that is hit and miss. I prefer the new York and new jersey casts.
  • This show is a bore

All that ever seems to happen is that all the girls think Kat is a b for being super honest, and the one girl whose husband owns a winery, people think sneaks into events. Nothing new ever happens. All the conflict is stupid, and there's not one character that is relatable to me at all. Making these girls be in a show was the worst mistake bravo ever did, and if it has a second season, I may just be shocked.
  • A Mystery

How did Bravo (Andy?), who thrills us with (in order of my adoration) a} Atlanta, b) New York, and c) New Jersey (don't have interest in Orange County), get this so wrong?! Blah. Boring. Unmemorable. Stinkerooni. My advice: sweep this dreck off the table and put all resources into wowing us with Beverly Hills!
  • To the Atlanta and NJ Housewives...

Watch this show to learn how to be classy. These women do not get along, but you don't see them turning over tables or getting into people's faces. Now, Atlanta and NJ are entertaining, but they never act as ladies should. D.C. housewives just talk, they do not act, but that is part of being an adult. Teenagers and drunks act on intuition; hitting and yelling before finding resolution in a "reunion" episode. It may not have the personal drama, but you best believe there is plenty of political drama. Americans should be more concerned with politics, and hopefully this show will inspire the nation.
  • Why the delay?

So we're finally getting to the two key episodes for the whole series and what does iTunes do - nuthin. No sign of the latest show from two days ago. Seriously, its not like I'm asking you to post it to me in the mail, so why the delay?
  • Late posting of episodes!!!!

Where is episode 9??? It is already late Friday (in the states) and no episode! Unacceptable...what is the point in buying a season pass when you have to wait days for the new episode to post. Since I live in S. Korea, I depend on the pass to post freaking episodes in a timely manner.
  • hello, itunes??

Easily the BEST yet in the Real Housewives franchise. I watched all the seasons of the Real Housewives of Orange County and loved that show - but geez, those ladies in D.C. play to a totally different tune! LOVE IT!
