  • This show might be the death of me.

I finally decided to watch this on a whim while being sick, since I'd heard a lot about it (and am recently an Aidan Turner fan thanks to The Hobbit). Hey, a British show about a werewolf, a vampire, and a ghost living as housemates and trying to fit in with humanity? Sounded like it'd be ridiculous and hilarious and charming! And it is! Except that once you get sucked into the domesticity, the show pulls out all the stops and grapples with the very complex concept of what it means to be human. Regardless of the fact that this can be considered urban fantasy, there are some very strong characters in this series, and their relationships are ultimately what defines this show. It's heartwarming, hilarious, and heartbreaking--and ridiculously fantastic! Out of the three and a half seasons I've seen, the first season (this one) is probably my favorite just because it's got the warm charm and off-the-wall character interactions that sucked me into this show in the first place. Brilliant work on this one. I highly recommend it!

This is one of my favorite shows and mainly because of the supernatural aspect of it... A vampire, werewolf and ghost all living under the same roof!!

Love this show. I was a little concerned before I watched it because I don't like a lot of blood and gore but this show is excellent!
  • Amazing

This show is incredibly good, but no doubt this was inspired by "An American Werewolf in London"
  • One of my Favorite shows

This show is one of my favorite shows it can balance humor and than switch to such a serious topic in the blink of an eye.The way they handled Annie's character was amazing She's still goofy and Charming but she still is slightly tainted by how she died. And the way they showed Annie's death was amazing they didn't make it all dramatic and than replay, rewind and put in slow motion her fall down the stairs they showed her fall, tumble and than CRACK her lying there on the floor still has such a impact to me,the blankness her eyes have.
  • Where's the pilot?!!

Great show. Witty. But episode 1 is not the first episode. There's a 2 hour pilot movie not available? Please release it!
  • The Original & The Best

    By wolfhounds4ever
The British show is superb! It's witty and nuanced and features great chemistry between the three main leads (four, counting Nina in later episodes). I tried watching the American version and couldn't get past one episode. Where the American version was trite and simplistic (mainly by explaining everything) the UK version trusts its viewers' intelligence to understand and keep up with the storyline. Simply brilliant.

  • Better than the U.S. version (unfortunately)

As an American, I hate to have to write this, but: This, the British original, is the superior version of the series. What is missing from the remake is the humo(u)r. Creative, smart, funny -- I still don't understand why they wanted a remake anyway.
