Description

Loud, anarchic, surreal, juvenile and — most of all — outrageously funny comedy featuring the lunatic exploits of four students of Scumbag College: Vyv, the punk; socially aware and politically conscious Rik; Neil, the hippy; and Mike, the well-dressed smoothie. They share a dilapidated house in North London owned by their dodgy landlord Jerzy Balowski. They are the least compatible housemates imaginable and, when they are not tearing pieces out of each other, they manage to get involved in the most bizarre of comic escapades. PLEASE NOTE: We are using the raw, original broadcast material to deliver the most authentic experience we could provide. As a result, you may notice occasional glitches in video quality. This is TV the way it used to be!

Why would you buy this when you can get series 1 & 2 remastered special editions for less than this in HMV let alone online? A brilliant series but how overpriced?

I'm a 15 year old and I utterly love this show! Both series are so funny, and you can really see that it has impacted modern comedy. And Rik Mayall is beautiful in this. 10 outta 10.

Surreal, anarchic and absolutely hilarious, the Young Ones still remains fresh and original today as it did 3 decades ago. Whether it's Vyvyan trying to demolish the house before the council can, or trying to survive a huge flood in London, this remains a classic mainstay in British comedy.

The young ones are great and i am only 16 the now and i know about them. My parents used to watch it and i decided to watch a couple of episodes and loved it. i think that the young ones is the best TV programme to come from British television. Future Generations and kids would love this kind of show if we still had shows like it.

this is a fantastic series and funny again and again well worth the cost but itunes is so slow to upload, i'm seriously considering just getting it from the shop and copying it to my other mp4 player, save all the hastle of itunes. has anyone else experienced their pc freezing since downloading itunes? mine seems to freeze more than usual.
  • Not as good as I remembered...

The Young Ones certainly had some very high points and I remember being a fan as a teenager. The first series however hadn't really got into its stride and the episodes are a bit weak with little development of story or character. Try Series 2 first.
