Vince Noir and Howard Moon return for a third series of this cult hit. Now working in Naboo's second hand shop, 'Nabootique', Howard mainly whiles away the hours in delusions of grandeur whilst unsuccessfully trying to sell his esoteric jazz records, while Vince lays around in a hammock playing loud music, trying on wigs and finding Howard ludicrous. They assemble their usual accomplices, including Naboo the enigma and Bollo the ape, reunite us with some familiar faces including The Hitcher, The Moon and Bob Fossil, as well as introduce us to a whole host of new characters.

Such a shame that these two have obviously run out of ideas. Apart from Crack Fox this series' should never have been commissioned, it's really lame. Just buy Spaced instead, far funnier, and they knew when to stop.

I'm hugely grateful that when I was introduced to the Boosh, I was shown the first season before the third. Otherwise on seeing series three I would not be the ecstatic Boosh fan that I am to date. I hate writing this review because I am perfectly aware of the sheer talent and wit involved. However, there is simply no more originality, only recycled jokes from the previous seasons. The humour has also risen in crudeness, which is a shame, for it means that the show no longer relies on pure genius but instead only on unecessary and weak attempts at outrageousness. But by all means, it is still a worthwhile buy. The stories are still fresh and exciting, and the series still provides the laughs that you can only get from the Boosh. The CRACK FOX and PARTY were masterpieces. The last episode is not great, but I will reveal no more. Sadly Series Three is not brilliant in comparisson to its predecessors.

The problem with this series was the expectation attached to it, too many people expected this to be somewhat of a new sort of monty python like surreal comedy, which they are not. The boosh are the boosh and we love them for this, while there is no sign of old gregg (something i hoped for when it was coming back to bbc3 at the time), there is the cockney, the crack fox and sammy the crab. Hilarious characters i their own right and for die-hards, there is even Bob Fossil! but for newcomers? try the first or second series, it's funnier than this one. My personal critisism is that Howard just isn't as funny in this one and it seems to b more based around vince. To sum it up, it is okay. Hopefully they come together again and write a great series 4.
