  • Where to find the entire show run

SHOUT FACTORY! has the entire show for sale. 20th Fox didn't want to produce the the DVDs because of the music rights. That's why you won't see any more seasons offered. SHOUT FACTORY! also got the cast and crew honored at the TV Hall of Fame. Go to YouTube and type in Hugh Wilson (the show runner) and you can get the scoop on the show and how it became the "gold standard" for today's situational comedy nrearly forty years later.

The original series was fantastic!!!! This is just sad! Shame on you fox for ruining this show.
  • Lose this mess and offer the Shout! Factory version

This is the first release version, which includes a plethora of music edits. It is not worth your time or money. Hold out until iTunes finally has the Shout! Factory version available, which was able to secure rights to about 90% of the music from the original run.
  • Set a high bar for team casts

This show set the bar VERY high for the sitcoms that would follow which featured an ensemble cast. Some (like Friends and That 70's Show) also managed to pull it off, but very few could rise to the level of the mighty WKRP. ** One question: when is iTunes going to post the rest of the seasons!? **
  • Great show kneecapped by generic music

So sad. What is wrong with people who do this sort of thing? The heart of this series has been torn out along with the music.

Take it from a child of the 70's and a Cincinnati resident, the music is absolutely integral to the show. Removing it degrades the overall experience greatly. WKRP was a source of pride for me as a kid. I guess I will have to live off of fond memories until I am able to buy the shows in their original uncut form with music included.
  • Do not purchase these are cut!

I am sick! After purchasing about 7 WKRP episodes from itunes I started reading these reviews. To leave the original music out and not LET PEOPLE KNOW is robbery and misrepresentation of this product. SHAME on iTunes and anyone else distributing these cut up versions of one of the BEST sitcoms in history!

I will NEVER buy these mutilated episodes. Without the original music, you're being cheated.
  • Turkeys Away

I first saw Turkeys Away when it was released YEARS ago during the regular series season. I saw it a couple of times after that on replays. It is the single funniest episode I have ever seen for any TV program. I watched it again the other day when I purchased it and was crying by the time it was over.
