Description

It is now the year 2259. Five hostile federations dominate the outermost regions of space. Heroes, thieves, and rare and exotic beings find refuge in this time of uneasy peace and the constant threat of war on a lone space station – the last and best hope for peace between a hundred worlds, alien and human alike. This season, Babylon 5's captain declares the station an independent state and forms a war council to battle the evil Shadows – and their allies on Earth. A terrifying new alliance between the Shadows and another race is discovered. And Sheridan travels back in time to undertake a mission involving the station's predecessor, Babylon 4.

Reviews

  • Gets pretty good in season 3

After a weak and cartoony first season and an improved season 2, this show finally got rolling in season 3. Better on almost every level, from writing (deeper characters, some pretty impressively large story arcs) to effects. Still, there are episodes that are thumb-twirlers and filler, too much soap opera-y relationship babble, and a snoozy preoccupation with the day to day bureaucracy. Never the best sci-fi on tv, but by season 3 it began to make a bid for at least being taken more seriously by us sic-fi geeks.
  • Just good Sci-Fi

If you ignore seasons 1 and 5, this series is great. It's what sci-fi should be... it's about the characters and just happens to take place in a sci-fi type world. One of my favorites. The story goes throughout the entire series, so even though season 1 is pretty awful acting and story-wise, give it all a watch.
  • Thank you, iTunes

This is a great season of television! One of the best, in fact. Season 3 was where Babylon 5 truly took off. Previously, episodes had been missing or mislabeled. iTunes has responded to customer concerns by correcting this. Thank you! We now have the complete season, as it was meant to be.
  • now complete!

Thank you for putting the best sci-fi show ever on iTunes! This season is one of the best, with tight script-writing, clear continuity, and awesome twists. Definitely worthwhile!

Grey 17 is missing? So is episode 13 (A Late Arrival From Avalon). Why must we be subjected to constant editing of an already established product? The season itself gets five stars, but ITunes is lucky to get two for offering only part of the season. GET WITH THE PROGRAM ALREADY!
  • Excellent Series, but where are Episodes 12 & 13

Babylon 5 is a great series and I have truly enjoyed downloading a few episodes at a time to watch while traveling. However, where are Episodes 12 and 13? They do not appear to be available on iTunes and there is no explanation.
  • Thank you Itunes and Warner Brothers!

Thanks to you more people will have the opportunity to experience this great science fiction epic! If you have never seen this series at all watch "In the beginning" it will introduce the story so that you can decide if it is worth buying the other seasons! If you do not have this series on dvd and really want to show your appreciation for putting this show on Itunes purchase it B5 fans if you can afford it! Not even star trek has this much fan loyalty and this many seasons on Itunes!

Episodes 12 and 13 are mislabled: what in this list is labeled episode 12 "Sic Transit Vir" is actually episode 13 "A Late Delivery from Avalon," and vice versa. Doesn't detract at all from the overall excellence that is B5, but hopefully someone will correct this.
