  • Actually liked more than 1 + 2

    By ConanTheLibrarian100
The plot is confusing, it doesn't really connect with 1 + 2 in a logical way.....but.......it gets 5 stars because of the message - which is about how corporates are collecting data on us and then trying to not just map our behaviours, but to control and steer them. Delores is also amazing....! Maybe this will inspire more and better structured stories that explore the same themes around State/corporate control, examining society's pyramid structure and so on. (Mr Nolan...if you're reading this......you had some great ideas there, but it just came across a bit too messily to win most people over.. Better luck with Season 4, if there is one.)
  • Brilliant.

I’m leaving this review because based on the previous reviews I read here I nearly didn’t buy season three. However I’m very pleased I did. I can understand why people are not happy with the new tone and direction the series has taken. However for me I always felt this reboot was always a bit too unnecessarily complicated and somewhat earnest for its own good. Don’t get me wrong, series one as two were very good, but they weren’t much, you know, fun! Series three is definitely fun! I REALLY enjoyed it. It’s very exciting and entertaining. I liked the ideas based around AI, and the vibe clearly echoes Mr. Nolan’s last great series Person Of Interest. I thought the CGI was really quite astonishing for a TV show, they really hit that out of the park. I thought the direction, editing and acting were cohesive. The sets, costumes, design and look also made for a very believable future world. It’s fun, it’s exciting, watch it. Sure it’s not as high concept as before, and if that bothers you then give it a miss. However, if you’re a SciFi fan who just wants some solid entertainment for your hard earned money then this is for you. I hope that helps.
  • Unfocused mess

The first series was a masterpiece, the second felt like a poorer follow-up but had its moments. This one is just a mess. Truly terrible. Hardly any of it makes sense. Who is the theme park for any more? There are some sub Matrix ideas about reality. It’s all so poorly paced, with no character development and ideas nicked from episodes of Black Mirror. If the future, with AI in it, is this boring, I agree we should avoid it at all costs.
  • West-tasting!

I really enjoyed the last two seasons of Westworld but always felt it was sometimes too clever for its own good however Season 3 knocked it out of the park for me. I absolutely loved it, brilliant story, amazing script and the most stunning special effects I’ve seen on a tv program... more more more please!!

I’ve never written a view before . As I’ve read many . And thought the vast amount are subjective . I am a big fan of west world . The past two series have been epic . But series three although extremely well acted and produced . Lacks the main factor . It lacks story . Sorry but it’s simply boing .
  • First half is brilliant, second half... not so much

The first four episodes of this season had me very excited for the new direction of the show, episode 3 in particular is up there with some of the best episodes of the whole series. Unfortunately the quality of the writing and plot *heavily* declines in the latter half of the season. Thankfully the strong cast and exceptional music from Ramin Djawadi keeps the show (mostly) engaging until the end.
