Loved this series 😍. Needs more seasons. At least one. I know it’s unfinished, but I’m sure there r some brilliant writers out there to finish the story. I was hooked immediately, and was very disappointed 😞 not to see another season. How come the heroin didn’t get her happy ending unlike one of the other characters. Not fair 😒. I hope this will b remedied with at least one more season or two hour movie 🤞
  • Amazing Jane Austen again

    By Ang2kids
Always been a fan of Jane Austen books and anything to do with her. She knows a women’s mind better than we do Each story makes you feel Like you belong. Loved watching Sanditon. Been longing for something romantic and funny again. Now I want to watch all of Jane Austen’s movies all over again. Beautifully written and beautiful story.

The show itself was ok but if your looking for a happily ever after don’t watch you will be left disheartened and disappointed. I hope they make a season 2 maybe the romance will come back between the main characters.

Love. This. Show. America wants more Sanditon, PLEASE!! Jane Austen fans have been awaiting a fresh storyline and new characters to adore (and despise). Sanditon gives us just that!! For example- we love “Sidlette” and loathe “Sidliza”. Our biggest problem here is Episode 8...calling it a cliffhanger is quite the understatement. Now, fans will plummet from the cliff top into the raging sea. Jane Austen will roll over in her grave, if closure isn’t given to this unfinished work!! I have no proof, but I’m pretty sure it was one of her final wishes. #DoItForJane
  • Love this modern Austen adaptation!!

    By Boomer's New Mom
Completely loving this new adaptation of her unfinished novel. Andrew Davies does a wonderful job of both tipping his hat to JA's themes and adding in his own, more modern interpretations. Sure, it's not "period perfect," but it is beautifully done. Very well cast with a lot of depth conveyed to the roles, and beautifully filmed. A very enjoyable diversion indeed.
  • Second Season PLEASE

    By OneCupADay
I love these characters! I keep watching every episode in hopes the ending will change (I know insanity). There must be another way, and Season 2 needs to happen. Where is Lady Susan to intervene when you need her!?!? Jane Austen’s characters realize the desire of their heart, and it’s made right in the end. Charlotte must have her happy ending!!

This is definitely the saddest love story I’ve seen. This is a perfect example that somethings don’t always turn out as you want but as they should. I would have loved to see them be married and live happily ever after. Definitely felt the heartbreak and would love to see Season 2 -so that my hope could be restored in the notion that “True Love Always Finds a Way”.
  • Please renew for 2nd season

    By leah-n-savage
I love this show and am so disappointed that it hasn’t been renewed yet for a second season. Charlotte and Sidney need their happy ending. These two actors have such great chemistry together.
  • Beautiful in every way possible. Need more.

This is one of the most beautifully made historical romances I’ve ever seen. I love Jane Austen adaptations, but honestly you need to accept the fact that the only thing she has to say about the book was what she started in the first 11 chapters. This show goes over so many more subplots than JA would have put in the book, but that’s what makes it all so complex and utterly enjoyable. I’m hoping for a season two, but even if it never comes, I can still take this season as “the story so far”. I’m sure the writers/producers where going for the “oh no” moment, which is something that JA was a master at. It’s like if P&P ended when Jane got engaged to Bingley and then Lydia scandalizes their family and Elizabeth has absolutely no hope of ever being with Darcy.... and then???? I think “the end” (I’m not going to call it that personally) caught everyone off guard when it first aired in Europe bc we all assumed it was going to be like a North & South sort of mini series—there and done for us to sigh over and love. But wow, there is plenty here to sigh over and love. The amazing setting and characters hook you and you want to relive, rewatch... and even become wrecked... over and over. The hero and heroine have some of the best romantic chemistry I’ve ever seen on television. And it’s just so addicting to watch them, the story—yes, over and over again.
