  • 1.5 stars: 5% better, still bad!

    By Amy Meditate
Ok I don't want to give away any spoilers, but let's just say that they once again give a slap in the face to loyal fans of the series since the original/TNG era! Fans of the classic series are gonna hate some of the things and characters they desecrate in season 2.. I still can't get over how the Klingons look like Blue fish people in a cult or something, agh so bad!! Also I BALKED at how at the end of the last season they just jumped ahead so far instantly, that is no way to do things, people want to know what happened DIRECTLY after the last events, not "ok, and now let's skip a bunch of story and jump to the future out of nowhere"! I think they did this because they knew there was a chance they might be cancelled and wanted a backup plan to wrap things up. But even so it wasn't cool! I don't want to say anything else in case someone actually wants to watch this terrible show. My advice: watch Star Trek: ENTERPRISE if you want a prequel! It is an awesome series and actually stays TRUE to the series! 1.5 stars.
  • Awsome...!

I'm old enough to remember when TOS premiered. This latest reimagination of the Star Trek universe is refreshingly different . I like how they are focusing on Captain Pike, who was supposed to be the original captain in TOS and Michelle Yeoh is just hot hot hot...
  • What!!!

These people say that track is about inclusion, NO these people are idiots!!! Truck is about exploration and being the best version of yourself and not succumbing to the lowest forms of humanity. But this show promotes The lowest forms of humanity.
  • Great Show!

Love this show. Don’t believe the negative reviews. Those people just want more of the ‘old trek’ that simply doesn’t work in today’s TV world. This is a fantastic show and worth the time. Start with season 1 and work your way through. You wont regret it.
  • Star Trek is NOT a Drama

    By Larkamania101
Star Trek is NOT a miniseries. It is a TV show about a crew where in every episode is faced and must solve a different issue, may it be a political, biological, technological, or an unknown cause. These episodic adventures spark wonder and curiosity within the scientific realm. It's is NOT a drama for uncultured millennials to get together and talked about "the animal rights regarding using a micro organism for a propulsion system". Star Trek Discovery can very quickly redeem themselves, if they change the formatting of their stories, episodes. And tweak the personalities of their characters.
  • Season 3 should be called PIKE and SPOCK!

    By Supesfan91
I was not a fan of season 1. Everyone told me season 2 was better and felt more like Star Trek. I can tell you they were right. I really enjoyed the addition of Pike and Spock in season 2. The story was very well written. Less political correctness. The only character that annoyed me was Tilley with the constant off topic imature side comments. They need to tone that down a little. The only downfall with discovery is by the finale I was more interested in following Pike with the enterprise than I was with the future story of Discovery. If CBS was smart they would cut the Discovery story off right now and continue the story by following the Enterprise. I have no interest in season 3 with Discovery after seeing Pike, Spock and the enterprise in action. And by the way, awesome job casting Rebecca Romijen as #1. She was perfection!
  • Talk about grabbing the cash.....

Bad enough that CBS is not really pulling thier head out of a certain part of their anatomy on this show but 35 dollars for a season?!?!? I'd take my chance and find another pirate bay to download before chucking money at this.
  • Loved Season 2

    By DHQ402
The alternate universe thing in season one put me off a bit but I just loved every episode of season two. The cast and writing is great and the interaction bettween the characters really makes it. Looking forward to season three.
  • Solid Star Trek content

    By Reviewmasta1
I like Star Trek story and concept. Can't claim to be a hardcore fan, but I like it a lot. I will be honest - I strongly dislike political correctness and progressive values when they are aggressively promoted in movies. Also I am not a huge supporter of time travel and parallel universes, as they are usually representing lazy writing. So Season 1 did not impress me much. However, Season 2 came out much better. Plot is interesting, addition of Pike and Spock was very soothing. Less of PC crap. Generally, good job. Bought this one…
  • It’s all about Captain Pike

    By tr3k4ever
Season 1 of Discovery was cool but had some issues, for me it was the Klingons (those damned Klingons), I hated the redesign and the fact they sounded muffled. Season 2 starts with a bang, the Enterprise shows up and Captain Pike takes over as Captain. The story this time was very focused and there was more humor this time around. They did a great job fixes some of the issues from season, Klingons now speak English, and no longer sound muffled, and major point, they introduced the bridge crew in a great way. It irked me that throughout all of season 1 that I didn’t know the bridge crews name. But Captain Pike in this series is the perfect mix of Captain Picard and Captain Kirk, all of their best qualities. If you kinda liked season 1, watch season 2 it was light years better.
