Jim Henson's The Storyteller, The Complete Series

Please don't crop TV series when remastering them digitally; let us see them the way they aired, the whole picture as intended by the artists! Or, at the very least, include two versions, one cropped, one original.

Unbelievable that someone would crop this series and then call it HD.Here is a lesson....if you blow up the picture to fit the new size TV screens it becomes blurry...it is not clear,you cannot see all of the picture.What idiot is in charge of purchases for iTunes....you should quit your job.

This show is a classic and I’m so thrilled it’s finally on iTunes. However, this “HD” version is cropped which is pretty frustrating. The quality of the show itself looks like it really needs to be digitally cleaned up. It basically looks like if you were watching it on the same VHS tape for 40 years. I’m hoping they can update this with better videos.

Jim Henson's the Storyteller is one of the most engaging shows ever filmed. Every frame and scene is filled with beautiful mythic direction and details that you'll miss if blink--which is why it is so inexcusable that this new high definition transfer was cropped. There is no reason, in this day in age, to mar a masterpiece by haphazardly cutting off the top and bottom of the image of any movie or TV show, but especially a masterpiece like this one. I will change my review to 5 stars once the Jim Henson Studio rights their butchering of one of their greatest shows ever and gives us the full frame HD transfer we deserve.

I waited a few years for the storytellers to be released on ITunes. I watched it with it originally aired and I’m so glad it’s finally here.
