Description

For five seasons our heroes did whatever it took to survive on Earth... and nothing worked. Their inability to overcome the instinct to fight caused the destruction of the planet. Now, after 125 years in cryosleep, traveling through the stars, our heroes wake up to a new home, a final gift from their dearly departed friend Monty. A place where they can try again.     I can’t believe the reviews are so positive. They could have done so much with this season but instead we are rehashing old stories about the night blood and they even brought back that woman who played the AI. They could have shown a whole new world with exciting animals and even alien life. So many things could have been done. The same junk different season. How disappointing. This may very well be my last season. I certainly won’t be adding this to my collection of tv shows I purchase.

    Addendum to review: We are now up to episode 7 and the writers have hit it out of the park. I'll leave my initial review below for those who are early in the season and less than satisfied. Simply put, the season has now become one of my favorites. Their is a battle taking place within Clarke's mind-sci fi at it's best. I’ve really enjoyed all the prior seasons but find season 6 to be lacking. The pacing is too rapid and the dialogue seems disjointed. Little time is given to “earn” an emotional outcome. The first three episodes each want to outdo the others with raw, mostly negative, angry interactions between...well...nearly every character! There is one very superficial new love story, not earned, and everything else is unbridled rage. There are so many judgmental vindictive individuals and little to balance that. This review covers only through episode 3 and I’m not giving up, but the actors need time to breathe, to analyze and to grow. The plot, including the sci fi aspects, needs to develop-Instead, we are suddenly right back into another war...one that isn’t, you guessed it...earned! I am a fan of the show-am I alone in this view?

    Tried watching episode 5 on my AppleTV last night and the video skips/stutters every 2 seconds throughout the entire episode. It was kinda frustrating to watch.
