Power, politics,'s all in the family in Season 1 of this provocative, bitingly funny drama series about a highly dysfunctional dynasty. When aging, uber-wealthy patriarch Logan Roy (Brian Cox), CEO of one of the world's largest media and entertainment conglomerates, decides to retire, each of his four grown children follows a personal agenda that doesn't always sync with those of their siblings--or of their father. After Logan changes his mind about stepping down, he endures the often-childish bickering of his heirs while others in their orbit position themselves for a post-Logan world that seems imminent, though not predestined. Jeremy Strong, Kieran Culkin, Sarah Snook and Alan Ruck co-star as Logan's children; also with Hiam Abbass, Nicholas Braun and Matthew Macfadyen.

  • 21st Century, Game of thrones !!

When I say 21st century, I mean set in. This is just game of thrones, without the medieval and fantasy. Great acting , great script, great show . ( hopefully just warming up ) 😎
  • Addictive

Excellent series, shockingly dark humour. Very funny and addictive
  • Bad script

    By Ghardman68
I love a good family drama, but the script is trying to be too clever. The characters all talk very fast and speak in clever-speak, that is when they are not using the F word. Very tiring to listen to and follow.
  • Compelling

Loved this, brilliantly acted and beautifully shot. Compelling story and looking forward to Season 2.
  • Kind of runty.

All the moving parts work, but there's something lazy about the premise. The children are all weak and one dimensional, nobody is likeable. It's slick, but feels like some kind of dress-up. A rehearsal for roles that will be filled by bigger actors with better lines. Kind of like an 80's show, with dialogue from 2012. Runty, hobbled, but watchable.
