Description

Thandie Newton (Westworld, Crash) stars as DCI Roz Huntley, AC-12’s most devious opponent yet, in the new season of Jed Mercurio’s critically-acclaimed police corruption drama. In a career-defining case, Roz is under intense pressure from her superiors to apprehend a serial murderer after months of fruitless investigation. When another young woman is abducted, Roz is on the scene to track down and charge a 24-year-old man. But doubts around the young man’s guilt lead the chief forensic investigator (Jason Watkins, W1A) to AC-12.

If you haven't seen this series before, I envy you. It means you have four years worth of the absolute best detective/crime drama ahead of you should you choose to watch this series. Get a subscription to Acorn TV for the first three seasons. To the producers: Please keep this series going. This show sets the standard for what can be achieved when everything is done right. You owe it to humanity! ;-)

Absorbing and compelling with multiple clever plots twists. A tad graphic at times. There are others shows in the series but you don’t need to have seen the others to follow this. I hadn’t and as a stand alone it as fine. Also this is the most complete of the series to my mind.

I'd heard loads about this show and how great it was. I'm generally not one to believe a lot of hype about a show either so I definitely wasn't prepared to love it as much as I did. The main characters are so well written and humanly flawed that you can't help but root for them whether you like them or not. But it's not all drama and suspense. There are plenty of moments of dry British humour as well. This was definitely worth a long weekend in of binge watching!

Extremely well-written crime/detective drama where the criminals are very slippery, since they happen to be cops. The protagonists are the detectives in the Anti-Corruption task force. Superb acting. Really a top tier show!
