Armed conflict, international politics and the security of all mankind would never be the same again. Through a detailed retelling of the events before, during and after the dropping of the bomb, this film unravels the compelling story of one of the 20th century’s defining moments and reveals the far-reaching consequences of the explosion, both in Hiroshima itself and for the world at large. From the rooms of the world’s most powerful leaders, both Allied and Japanese, to inside the planes sent on the fateful mission to the devastated streets of Hiroshima in the hours after the attack, it explores the crucial moments, the key locations, and the pivotal players.

  • Anti-American Propaganda

    By Colts In '09
The film says that Japan was really in the process of surrendering and that the Americans were blood thirsty war mongers that wanted to drop the bomb to show the world what it could do. The film tries to rewrite history and portray Japan as the victims and the US as evil. Just straight up anti-American propaganda.
  • Hate Propaganda

    By Tomnel141
This movie goes back into the decision made by Harry Truman to drop the atomic bomb on Hiroshima for the purpose of vilifying Truman and the United States. It is vague and deceitful about whether the Japanese were considering surrender, implying that using the bomb was not necessary. Among other things it assumes that a long embargo could have been maintained against the Japanese Islands and that other, politically speculative measures could have been undertaken in lieu of using the bomb. The vilest motives are attributed to the Americans working on the mission. This movie has one message: hate America.
