Ten-time Big Mountain Rider of the Year winner Jeremy Jones revolutionized backcountry snowboarding with DEEPER, his 2010 ode to splitboarding and human-powered adventure. His 2012 sequel, FURTHER, took him to the planet's most remote mountain ranges and earned him a nod as a 2013 National Geographic Adventurer of the Year, and his environmental advocacy work with Protect Our Winters won him recognition as one of President Barack Obama's 2013 Champions of Change. Now Jones and his crew are elevating their game and taking their quest to the next level for the third and final installment of the DEEPER, FURTHER, HIGHER trilogy. HIGHER--like the chapters that preceded it--is produced and co-directed by Jeremy's brothers Steve and Todd Jones, who are the co-founders of Teton Gravity Research. HIGHER traces Jones' snowboarding journey from hiking Cape Cod's Jailhouse Hill as a child to accumulating several generations' worth of wisdom and expertise about thriving and surviving in the winter wilderness. Jones has gathered friends old and new to pass the torch to the next generation of big mountain rippers. His crew for the film includes Bryan Iguchi, Luca Pandolfi, Lucas Merli, Ryland Bell, and others. With these friends, Jeremy leaves tracks on signature lines in the close-to-home playgrounds he's made his own around Jackson Hole and Lake Tahoe. He also makes history with far-flung first descents in the Eastern Alaska Range and the Himalaya of Nepal, where the stakes are as high as the peaks themselves.

Amazing end to an amazing trilogy. TGR does it again!
  • The legend

The guy is machine, making the people who ride heli's up to the top look like beginners! Hands down best rider in my book. Even though I'm a skier I'd put him up right along side Shane Mcconkey. Just fun to watch and get motivated to ride on the pow-town express this season.
  • Higher is my favorite action sports film to date

I love the way this movie turned out. It is a true action sports documentary that transcends all boundaries of traditional action movies.
  • So Inspiring

Jeremy’s first film came out around the time I started snowboarding. He inspired me to follow my passion, which at 27 years old (go figure), became snowboarding. Some 5 years later, I’ve spent every vacation day I’ve had chasing the perfect run. Jeremy encompasses everything that is great about snow boarding. He’s passionate, humble and at 39, still living for that next line. Even if you are not a snowboarding fan, you will LOVE this film. The story and cinematography capture the essence of snowboarding….and it is beautiful.

Great movie, lots of old footage of Jeremy. Some really great old unseen AK shots of him. Perfect end to his Trilogy and I hope he writes a book next. Very inspiring life, story and man. Fully puckered in AK on that spine wall after that storm….rad!

You don't have to be an avid snowboarder to appreciate this movie! The human element and struggles between man vs. nature and man vs himself will appeal to anyone who appreciates a good story. A very entertaining and timely piece that gets to the core of one of our generations' greatest adventurers.

Every one of these movies in the series was legendary. This is a really great movie that is more about making hard choices to follow your dream than snowboarding. A must watch for Jeremy Jones fans and for anyone thinking about pursuing a dream to it’s Highest position.

Being an Alaskan Snowboarder most of my life, this film shows the journey up the mountains, across the world and its amazing. Jeremy Jones and his brothers have done it again. You won't regret getting this film. Next year I will be getting one of the Jones Split Boards without question..

The projects are bigger than Further so there is less action and there is more time talking about Jeremy’s childhood. Attempting to snowboarding at over 6,000m is an amazing accomplishment and fun to watch.
