Henry Fonda stars in this romantic comedy set in 1850s New York. When he realizes that he needs to supplement his farming income, Dan Harrow (Fonda) takes a job on a canal boat. There, he meets and falls head over heels for beautiful Molly Larkins (Janet Gaynor), the daughter of the ship’s cook, much to her father’s dismay. It will take love, strength and courage for Dan to win Molly’s hand!
