    Great film
  • Younger generations- take notes

    By ZiaGypsy
As a music devote, a teacher and proud member of Jared Leto's generation- this method of artistic suffocation to leech every last penny is occurring in more than just the music industry. The younger generations should watch and listen to the advice provided by Artifact. Photography, music and the written word is not the disposable medium as they have grown up to think it is. Perhaps when their life's work is sold off (and with it the credit) to the highest bidder. Their 'free download' opinions will change. Until then - pay attention my young friends or you may become the pawn in a play of your own making.

  • Powerful film

This is a story that needed to be told. Being on the outside of the music industry will leave you with misinterpretations of the reality that artists deal with frequently. Jared Leto drags us into a world of harsh reality and stinging truth in regard to this business. The months spent fighting for their dreams, the fear as a fan that your favorite band may have to dismantle due to a lawsuit, and the demand for respect. The message is clear and the story being told is important. I encourage everyone to watch this film. It will change your perception of the music industry if you pay attention.
  • All music fans should watch this movie

I thought this was going to be completely about 30 Second to Mars and rather one sided. I was pleased at the films intelligence and honesty. If you love music, you should watch this film even if you aren't a proud, tattoo wearing member of the Echelon. The film is well made, interesting and eye-opening. Brilliant work, Mr. Cubbins.

"Sometimes you have to fight in order to be free." These words spoken by Jared Leto are the heart and soul of this film. This incredible and extremely well made documentary took my breath away completely. It's really hard for me to describe in words how I feel after seeing it. It not only is informative about the music industry it is also beautifully made. It takes the audience on a journey of struggle against a corporate machine and into the compromise that must happen in order for MARS to continue to do what they love, which results in a magnificent documentary and also the creation of the epic album This is War. I'm honored to have watched it, & to be able to pass it on to others. Thank you, Jared, Shannon and Tomo for sharing this!
  • Absolutely Brilliant

Even if you aren't a 30STM fan you need to watch this documentary. It details not only they have had with their label, but the struggle that many artists in the music industry face. It's a shame what they had to go through to realize their dreams. Watching this gave me a new appreciation for not only them, but all musicians in the industry. Great film.
  • Interesting.

Worth the rent. Educated me on the music industry. Like another review stated, even if your not a fan of the band (why not?!) you will come away with some new knowledge.
