For some, skiing is not just part of life—it’s a way of life. The search for snow shapes not only how they approach the mountains, but also how they approach the world. Whether skiers spend their days dropping first descents in Alaska, lapping the local mountain, or training for the Olympics, they’re part of a community built around a shared passion. The bonds that form from this community transcend continents and cultures, transforming strangers into friends. Way of Life takes you on a journey to the mountains and inside the minds of today’s top athletes. This film explores the origins of skiing in Austria, the search for original lines in Alaska, and the U.S. Freeskiing Team’s quest for Olympic gold. The adventure also leads athletes to the rugged terrain of Jackson Hole and the backcountry of British Columbia as they form a brotherhood that needs no language.

Way of Life is undoubtedly the best ski movie of the season. It's a nice balance between epic shredding and a laid back story. I highly recommend!

After viewing TGR's "Way of Life" I've come to the conclusion it is the best movie they've produced thus far. The shredding is gnar, the skiers are hot, and the the editing is incredible. Way to go Way of Life!
  • The Next Level

    By D. Fiddler
TGR continues to push the boundaries of what we consider a great ski flick to be. More so than ever, the level of cinematography has stepped up exponentially, largely due to the introduction of the GSS stabilized camera system and using more RED cameras. The editing is some of the best to date, striking a balance between simplicity and cutting edge, staying away from the industry trend of over-editing to the point it can become unwatchable (ie. Into the Mind). TGR continues to do what they do best, make awesome ski flicks that make you want to go out and shred pow, something that has been lost with other film makers. The Jackson, Austria and AK segments are surely the most memorable. This movie really shows why we live the lifes we do, something non-skiers don't understand. Show this movie to your non-skier friends and they will surely understand our "Way of Life". If you haven't seen this movie yet, SEE IT! You won't regret it.
  • Sick!!!

I am constantly amazed how the TGR crew keeps pumping out such amazing films. The editing is second to none, and the camera work is unreal. Anybody that likes this kind of entertainment needs to stop what they are doing and buy immediately. Wow - just read what I wrote above, looks like I'm a TGR employee. I wish I was! Live in Baltimore and live through these insane films....

  • Excellence.

This film is excellent. I've been a fan of skiing and a fan of TGR's cinematic styles for years. They never fail to produce quality. Buy it...or at least rent it!

Glad you guys like the movie. It was a huge project for us.
  • TGR's Most Progressive Film to date

    By TGR_Fan
TGR's Way of Life, shot on location in remote places around the world, is one of the most progressive ski films to date. From the explosive Fantasy Camp segment in Alaska, to the heart-warming Austria seg featuring a seasoned soul shredder, to Sammy's mind-blowing Mammoth part, TGR's Way Of Life ellipses the predictable ski film, and delivers as a mind-blowing must-see. Watch. It. Now.
  • Wonderful Movie

The one thing I really love about this movie is the way skiing is brought down to earth, showing that this ski movie is more than just huge pow lines in Alaska (not that we don't all love those). It makes it real, and really puts the love of skiing on a human level, where we can all share our obsession with snow! It's a well made movie with some seriously rad skiing.
  • Great film from the TGR crew

There is plenty of standardly awesome ski porn in this year's TGR ski movie, but what really stood out were the more documentary-style stories of 14-year old Daniel Tisi manning up to an incredibly savage Jackson Hole line under the tutelage of another TGR star, Max Hammer, and Griffin Posts' human-powered assault of the Middle Teton, climbing the enormous and beautiful peak only to rip a line the guide didn't even think was possible. Great to see some of the documentary skills learned from the Jeremy Jones movies carried over to the ski film!
