Spies Like Us

To heck with what the critics said, this is a very funny movie. Chevy Chase really owns the film....he looks like he is having a blast through out the entire thing. Dan Akroyd is quite good as well. Just don’t take the movie too serious and just enjoy it. Cheers!

This is a hilarious movie that watched over and over on DVD. Now I'll watch it over and over in HD! It's in my classics collection.

I thought it was passable the first time I saw this, years ago. Now, on a second viewing, it is really pretty lame. This was certainly not a modern attempt at a Hope and Crosby road movie, as it was intended. More silly than funny and more dry and forced than either.

Love this movie..Chase and Akroyd are at their best...great comedy.

If you're a fan of 80's comedies/comedians, then this is right up your ally. I swear, 1980-1990 is the golden age of REAL comedy... Today's comedies are incredibly lazy and ALWAYS resort to sex in some way. I don't think you can find a comedy which doesn't rely on flatulence, sex, & crude language filmed before 2000. I have no problem with any of that mind you, but it's gotten to the point where that's all it is. Guys like Chevy Chase & Dan Aykroyd are near extinct, if not already. Sad really. Give "Spies Like Us" a try. I'm sure you'll enjoy.

A couple of idiots embark on a secret mission. What could go wrong? Some of the best played idiot scenes in comedy history. How anyone can rate this below 4 or 5 stars is beyond me!

Best move of its time and still today. You will catch yourself quoting lines. Just make sure your friends have seen it first they will be jealous for not telling them about it...

This is a great movie! From the introduction of the characters, to their SNL-esque cheating on their spy exams, to their absurd training as spies, and their deployment, this movie hits all the marks of a great one! One of my favorite movies that I love watching several times each year.
