WOW, we just finished watching this movie and we are so glad we decided to rent it. It's a very sweet and deep movie. All the characters are played very well, the music is amazing and the story is extremely nice and well written. Highly recommended.

To all the narrow minded goofballs that said to many characters & some of them dull, they must be from a small family. I am the 7th out of 8 children in our family & some of my siblings & I at times can be dull, not all can have dynamic personalities. I would think that all families are like that, but with 8 kids there was & is never a lack of drama. There is always something unfolding & or developing. It can get quite complicated with such a large brood. Could be anytime of the year, not just Christmas. Dug the movie
I love Ed Burns and his movies!

I loved it. It's simple, cute and original as always. Made me laugh, cried and think about what all Christmas is about. Good movie to watch during this time of the year. Thank you Ed!!!!

OK, this not "Love Actually" or "Charlie Brown Christmas" but if you are from an Irish Catholic family you will totally enjoy it. Ed Burns has a terrific story matched up with a terrific cast. Thanks Ed and keep them coming.

My wife and I were laughing at times, at how horrible the acting was in this movie. As someone else said, it felt like a poorly done 'After School Special.' Really disappointing. We got so tired of watching, that we started skimming through it, so it'd end faster. Certainly one of the worst movies I've seen in years. Sorry Ed.
Dull, too many characters, depressing

Big Ed Burns fan since McMullen. I was looking forward to seeing Ed and Mike McGlone re-united onscreen but there was zero McMullen magic. It's not a comedy (so there was none of the funny dialogue/interaction between them), but this movie was just so depressing. There were too many characters- could not keep track of the sisters at all. Ed, Mike, and Connie Britton all looked REALLY old. It was more of a movie of "Christmas forgiveness." Out of the last 6 Ed Burns movies I've seen, this one was the worst BY FAR! Rent Purple Violets instead or re-visit McMullen and She's the One. Fail.
Great Suprise!

This movie was not only well written, great, and heartfelt, but it stuck with me for days after viewing it. Truly depicts a dysfunctional east coast family at holiday time. If Springsteen directed movies they would probably play like this one. A gem.
My house

The mothers house in the movie is my grandparents house! I know Ed burns as a family friend! This is a true fact! If you read some reviews from Ed he says that he used a family friends house he knew since he was 2, that's the house I'm talking about! I sat in the kitchen where they sat in at the end of the movie! I 💚❤💛💜💙 Ed!

I rarely go to the movies anymore because there are so few films worth seeing. A new Edward Burns movie, released on ITunes, with a Christmas theme to boot, was a real treat! I love all of his movies. The Irish backdrop, combined with a modern-day Christmas story starring some of the talented actors who have appeared in some of his previous movies, made this film a joy to watch. Hope it goes on sale soon- thoroughly enjoyed this movie.
