Description

Budding writer Sunny takes time off from college to tend to her ailing dad in suburban Florida, and after two years, a temp job at a bowling alley has turned into a comfortable rut. But, when Sunny's high school rival Isaac returns, her routine is abruptly disrupted. Friendly fire replaces competitive spirit as the pair picks up where they left off, and Sunny realizes the future holds more than a well-stocked shoe counter.

Well made! Good to see films made in the `US that are not about violence, sex or gays and lesbians but about the everyday human drama. Actually it is a very good film. When you create a good film without the millions in set ups instated with a loving everyday affair, you got a winer!

This movie is brilliant. It will not disappoint. The characters Sunny Elliot and Isaac Briggs are witty and perfect. I enjoyed every minute, the ending though, was questionable. It sort of left me wanting more. The story is great. I would say it's about returning home, drifting, forgetting about who you are and what you love, and then finally figuring out what you want and what you're going to do with that. This is life, this is real, watch it!
  • It's good! Not AMAZING... but good!

Honestly, I read the review below me (which was 5 stars and highly positive) and it sold me on this movie. I also was blown away that Rotten Tomatoes doled out a 100% rating because I'd never seen that before. That said, my expectations for this movie were high. It was GOOD. Good acting, nice story, slice-of-life, cute at times, entertaining. Was it OH-MY-GOD-I-WANTED-TO-CLAP-AT-THE-END-amazing? No. But entertaining nonetheless and I would recommend it if you like indie films centered around very REAL acting and plot.
  • Wow. Brilliant. Refreshing. Real.

These folks can act. And the writing was not overly clever. I appreciated the camera work, and loved the soundtrack. For once--in a long time--I didn't IMDB each actor as I fell in love, I watched it uninterrupted, with the phone off. Had I been at my little local indy theater, I'd have clapped at the end. Well done. And thank you.
