This was not just idealogical slanted...it took me THREE tries to get through it, it was so painfully overdramatic. If the "man who decides to go on a mission to find out just what fracking was all about" spoke in that hushed tone of despair one more minute...my head would have exploded. STAY AWAY!!!

I can't get this film out of my head.

This is the worst documentary I've seen to date (arguably a docudrama). It provides an unfairly ugly image of the oil and gas industry, spinning facts and inundating watchers with contrived statistics that are entirely meaningless. The picture runs more like an action thriller than a documentary. This really highlights the closure of an era of reasonably impartial and educational documentaries, which could be respected as decent sources of information. Extremely disappointed with this film.

I appreciate the information found in this documentary - but the filming style and banjos drove me nuts. Still, good on Mr. Fox for doing this.

I expected this documentary to be a thoughtful investigation of the unintended consequences of new technology. However what should be a study in the problem of emissions was instead an example of the problem of omissions. One sided, melodramatic and manipulative, Fox's hushed tones and saturated monochrome are irksome in the extreme. The lack of science and education in his discussion is appalling. We all know that big oil is filthy and dirty but this documentary told me nothing new and did so in a particularly patronising and didactic fashion.

It is one thing to frack without control, but why do the harms of fracking have to be hidden from us people? This video is a great example of how business is done sometimes in the US. A few big players at the top lying to the public so every little penny can be squeezed out. You know- go ahead and frack, but when you buy someones land, tell them what will happen: it is unsafe, you may have gas in your waters, you may not be able to use it, it may be bad to breath the air etc.- just tell them the truth. Who really feels good about screwing people?

It's amazing how this pompous BS artist can dupe so many with grammar school level pranks such as lighting a rigged faucet on fire. Do you buffoons who believe in this crap also marvel at a magician pulling a rabbit out of a hat? But no, you're right, lets continue sending our dollars off to the Middle East (to return in the form of terrorism) and our brothers, sons and fathers to return in boxes. Shame on you, you blind hippie idiots!

People really needs to face the issue that humans are making by destroying our Mother Nature.

Fairly tail produced by Hollywood. This an agenda based movie. As a movie it's entertaining but don't be shallow and think this documentary is any where close to bring reality. Do some research and look for proof or bury your head.
