Description

Get ready to tear up the highway with the Bandit (Burt Reynolds), a fun-loving, fast-talking trucker who takes on his craziest haul yet - delivering 400 cases of beer from Texarkana to Atlanta in just 28 hours. With Sheriff Buford T. Justice (Jackie Gleason) hot on his trail and eager to teach him some respect for the law, the Bandit joins forces with good ol' boy, Cledus (Jerry Reed) and runaway bride Carrie (Sally Field). Gear up for huge laughs, pedal-to-the-metal action, and some of the wildest car crashes ever filmed!

I wanna go back in time to tell my step grandfather NOT TO SELL HIS RED ‘74. I just need go to 1979 (when he got) or whenever he sold it to his brothers and say to him, “Hey! Don’t sell that thing ya hear! In 2013 Pontiac officially closed its doors and in 1982 Trans Ams lose the good decals!

They just don't make non-PC fun films like this, anymore. One of the all-time great action-filled entertaining car chase movies ever made. Chock full of great puns, great buns, great beer runs and well, great film funs. No that ain't a word, but who freaking cares? Escapism to the max. Saw this well over a dozen times in high school. It never lets up or gets boring and the chemistry Burt & Sally is top-notch. Jackie Gleason & Jerry Reed in their most memorable roles ever. Anyone who does not like this masterpiece of fast-pace stuntwork, great soundtrack and thoroughly lovable main characters and memorable side roles just does not love FUN. That's the only word to describe this film... 100% pure FUN. No matter what mood you were in before viewing this movie, as I just did for at least the thirtieth time, on my own iPhone from a hospital bed in agonizing pain with a damaged spine, it just makes plain ol' feel better. Isn't that what movies are supposed to do? No, it's not classic artsy filmwork amd there are many flaws, but you just don't care. Buckle yourself in for one of the fastest, funnest 105 minutes you'll ever freaking have and never forget. Iconic 70s film that looks fantastic in HD as does the amazing multi-platinum soundtrack and I'm not a country fan. Second box office grossing only to Star Wars, S&B sold more CB radios, more Firebird TransAm's and more country music than other film or marketing campaign. Reynolds is quoted as this was by far his favorite film to make & The Master himself, Sir Alfred Hitchcock calls it one of his all-time favorites to watch. What have you got to lose? Other than a bad mood and 105 fastest minutes ever. Enjoy this gem of an American classic. I sure did. Thanks, iTunes!!! 😃
