It is said that Halloween is the night when the dead rise to walk among us and other unspeakable things roam free. The rituals of All Hallows Eve were devised to protect us from their evil mischief, and one small town is about to be taught a terrifying lesson that some traditions are best not forgotten. Nothing is what it seems when a suburban couple learns the dangers of blowing out a Jack-o-Lantern before midnight; four women cross paths with a costumed stalker at a local festival; a group of pranksters goes too far and discovers the horrifying truth buried in a local legend; and a cantankerous old hermit is visited by a strange trick-or-treater with a few bones to pick. Costumes and candy, ghouls and goblins, monsters and mayhem...the tricks and treats of Halloween turn deadly as strange creatures of every variety-human and otherwise-try to survive the scariest night of the year.

Every year on Halloween I watch this film. It has become a tradition of mine and one I intend to keep until I die. This movie is brilliant! It has scares as well as a distressing atmosphere buy this movie
  • Ok for a horror film

This was recently on AMC’s fear fest yesterday. I recorded it because for some reason it is listed as a comedy, which it definitely is not. You can tell this from 5 mins into the movie with the kid on the steps with the principal. I’m not big on horror films, especially bloody ones. But I was able to make it through this one. It’s more of like short stories put together to fill the time slot of a movie, instead of one cohesive story with a plot. Based on what I’ve seen of horror films, it’s ok. Nothing is as it seems, there’s always a twist to every story that you don’t see coming. I would say it’s worth a watch if you’re into that sort of thing.

Cheesy horror movie. Not the best you’ll see, but it’s a fun spin on the traditional horror movies. I wouldn’t watch it again, but fun for one time.

  • Not Scary

This movie is well-made. However, it is just not scary. The writing and direction are good, but I found there were no scary moments at all.

Pretty great! It had horror a little humor, great visuals. Great anthology, it solves itself as it progresses so if you have a question you'll know in a bit. It's not in chronological order which is a hard thing to do but it does it so well, the stories are new with a few known monsters but really fresh. Really worth your money if you buy it. I'm a horror movie fan and I first watched alone and the next day with friends both times were great. Also it should be watched in the dark on a big screen if possible
