When large shipments of uncut diamonds begin disappearing during transit and then fail to reappear on the international market, the British government suspects that there is something going on besides diamond smuggling, and James Bond is called in to investigate. With the help of beautiful smuggler Tiffany Case, 007 traces the crimes to Las Vegas and reclusive billionaire Willard Whyte ….but the casino itself, the center of the smuggling, actually belongs to Bond archnemesis Ernst Blofeld. Blofeld is stockpiling the gems to build a massive satellite-based laser capable of destroying huge tracts of land, with which he will ransom the world's governments. In order to stop him, Bond must face offbeat assassins Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd, as well as Bambi and Thumper--two scantily-clad beauties who are more than a match for Bond in hand-to-hand combat.

  • Oh God what have they done to James Bond

Just watched this movie yesterday, THE WORST JAMES BOND MOVIE EVER!!!! Cheesy action sequences, nonstop making love, and the worst thing of all: Sean Connery looks so old in this movie!!'
  • A truly terrible film

    By franksballad
There is one redeeming aspect of this film. The last section of the car chase. Just the part in the parking lot. The rest of the film is absolute excrement. Not just one of the worst Bond films.
  • It's so bad it's genius

On the surface, Diamonds Are Forever is the silliest, most absurd Bond film of them all. But this is why it's also got so much charm. Gay lovers who are assassins? Check. Bond wearing a pink tie? Check. A gorilla lel loose in a Vegas casino? Check. Bond using a lunar mobile as an escape vehicle through the Nevada desert? Check. Female bodyguards named Bambi and Thumper? Check. You get the sense that the writers of this film were taking a certain herb. Don't think too much while watching: just relax and let your belief be suspended.
  • Best Bond

Has everything that makes a Bond movie good, but with an extra dose of ridiculousness. Toss a little Vegas on top, and we've got a winner.
  • This is no joke

These are honest questions. The inactions by the Bush Administration are beyond incompetence. The failure by our government to answer American citizens' pertinent questions is unconscionable.
