The comic misadventures of the beleaguered Griswold family continue in this latest "Vacation" outing, the third and most successful of the series. (Over $71,000,000!) This time America's most dedicated dad (Chevy Chase) is determined to stay at home to create "the most fun-filled old fashioned family Christmas ever" -- but life has a particular way of throwing wet logs on Clark Griswold's fire. Look for Emmy and Golden Globe-winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus (TV's "Seinfeld") in a supporting role. Written by John Hughes ("Home Alone" series).

After all, Christmas doesn't start until we've all watched this film, right? Laugh-out-loud funny, I and the quotes will stick with you through to next Xmas. It's the gift that keeps on giving the whol year.

I love Vacation and European Vacation- fond memories of watching with my dad growing up. This one I find embarrassing, I just don’t get it’s appeal I’m afraid!

    All time fav ❤️🎄

I religiously watch my selection of 19 Christmas films each year and this one is one of my favourites. It is warm and so funny with an amazing atmosphere.

    Not funny and boring
  • Great Film, but should be a 12 for some of the language

I love this film, but now I have a 4 year old daughter I have noticed that it isn't that friendly to young ears. I assume that like a lot of 80's films it has been recertificated down a grade (Like The Terminator was). This film sets the benchmark for all Xmas comedies that have followed, Deck the halls etc. All in all a great film, but beware if you have young kids. Has P***, S*** (a lot for a family movie) and one F*.

This film has been part of our family tradition ever since it came out. Although we have watched this film 1000’s of times it never ceases to make us laugh. We normally have this running from late November and give it one last blast before putting away for another year. This is a must for all those who love Christmas.
