Chev Chelios is about to begin his morning with an unexpected wake-up call. Groggy, practically unable to move and with a heart that’s barely beating, Chev answers his cell phone and hears the voice of thug Ricky Verona, who reveals Chev has been poisoned in his sleep and has only an hour to live. As it turns out, Chev is a hit man who freelances for a major West Coast crime syndicate.  And a run of the mill job the night before that was supposed to be like any other hit went unexpectedly awry: Chev let his target go in an effort to quit the professional killing business and start a new life with his girlfriend Eve. Now, Chev must keep moving – literally – to stay alive. The only way to prolong the poison from stopping his heart is to keep his adrenaline flowing.  As the clock ticks, Chelios cuts a swath through the streets of Los Angeles, wreaking havoc on those who dare stand in his way.  He must rescue Eve from danger, stay two steps ahead of his nemeses as they try to eliminate him, and search for an antidote to save his own life.

  • Nonstop action + Statham

    By Rob the Photographer
I see some reviewers say "I hate it." So they don't like action. They don't like good acting. They don't like an original script. I think these kind of reviewers hate their own mother. Whine, whine, whine. Why did they pick out this movie to watch in the first place? Did you think it was a comedy? Bill Maher had an adjective for such negative reviewers: "The Haters." The internet is full of them. If you like action, watch this movie and other Statham classics, like "The Transporter."
  • A fantastic movie with nonstop action

Saw the movie when it first came out and had a great time with it I had to see it again by car one of Jason Statham’s best movies next to the transporter movies
  • CRANK IT UP!!!

I loved this movie very much. I've been a fan of Jason Statham since Death Race. Non-stop action all the way through.
  • Fun movie

Not every movie has to take itself seriously. Crank is very funny and entertaining. Highly recommended.

iTunes really need to do something about their pricing of older movies. I just picked this up at Target on Blu-ray for $4.50 and the digital here is $14.99. Sorry, but considering Lionsgate is bypassing the disc, case and inserts digital copies should be much less than what is being charged here. I don't know if that's iTunes or the studios, but they need to get it under control.
  • What can I say about this movie...

    By sc1996
Wow. I still feel energized. I've never seen a movie this crazy. And it blends action with comedy perfectly, which is very hard to find in movies these days. This movie does not go slow at any moment, From the beginning to the very end, the pace is fast. And it gets faster and faster as it moves along. The only thing that ruined the end for me was the trailer for Crank 2. But I definitely recommend watching this, and be prepared for the craziest ride ever.

This movie seems bizarre and impossible, but that just adds to the fun. Jason Statham knows action and how to make the audience entertained.
  • Crapload of action

    By World3nder
This is one of those movies that have a pointless and nonsensical plot, but nonstop and pointless action. If you hate boring and confusing movies, this is perfect. All this movie is is action scene after fight after action, and to top it off comedy where comedy is due. This is a action packed movie that needs a bit more plot, but other that that it is a perfect action movie.
