It’s very well done, traumatic, and will make you feel sad & cry. What a classic.

It captures your heart. It portrays a perfect love story and a World War II soldier. Very good. Recommended.

This the most beautiful and saddest film I've ever seen.

A wonderful movie.

Stilted dialogue, pretentious settings, and way too many repetitions of scenes, such as a vase falling into a fountain that is alternating btw. shallow and deep enough for Knightley to dive into and then swim around underwater searching for the vase - we have to see this about 3x -- overall poorly directed.

The unfolding of this drama is important and paced perfectly. You ache right along with the characters and the challenges posed. Beautifully shot as the emotions of the characters are slight but exact to the Story. Beautifully shot also in the sense of the era, landscape, and European countryside, as if you are there with'em. Great ride, hop on this one and you will go places. An Epic film that you will feel glad you spent the time to witness and plenty of thoughts will linger after watching this movie... A "Once in Every 5 years..." type Movie. MJ- Atlanta

Beautiful movie. James Mcavoy and Keira Knightley have such great on screen chemistry. Great plot twist ending would definitely recommend :)

I tried watching Atonement when it was first released in 2007 and it just didn't hold my interest. Fast forward six years and I watched it again. I was blown away by this film. It's so powerful, so beautifully shot, the performances are incredible…easily one of the best films I've ever seen. Ever.

If you like pride and prejudice then you will love atonement. I made a bet to my friend he would adore this movie...I'm ten dollars richer now. Absolutely in love with this movie. Must watch!
