One of those films that is bad but you can't stop watching it despite the outrageous violence. Amusing to see a young Steve Buscemi and Quentin Tarantino as well as a younger Danny Trejo, a Robert Rodriguez regular. Antonio Banderas is as handsome as ever; Selma Hayak is entertaining. It really isn't that bad.

A little more Modern, now that rodriguez got a decent budget on the film. He still uses his good bag of tricks to make a movie great...Worth the money.

I like this film. I watched it several years ago. I'm looking forward to renting Once Upon a Time is Mexico now.

Some people have their preferences in shoot'em up movies. Some may say Heat, Scarface (the final sequence anyway), Wild Bunch, Open Range, Last Man Standing, Sukiyaki Western Django (seriously, the shoot'em up at the end is awesome), any John Woo movie, and etc. However, I believe this movie is the best shoot'em up movie ever made. This film is a semi-remake of El Mariachi (what I mean by that is Desperado did with El Mariachi as Evil Dead 2 did with Evil Dead....semi-remake it into a superior film). The cast is perfect (even Quentin Tarantino acts in this), the soundtrack.....alot of it is pure air guitar for me, and of course the bulletfests are awesome! I love it, especially when El Mariachi walks into the bar with his guitar case. I also loved the insane guitar case weapons. All in all, if you love shoot'em up movies, action movies, or a fun movie in general get this one. You won't be disappointed. Now, as for Once Upon a Time in Mexico I have yet to see this movie. But, when I get to see it, I'll review it for you guys. Adios.
