Deep Rising

I remember watching this in the theater when it came out, it was good then and still good now. The story is pretty straight forward, but decent. It a good movie to watch if your staying in at home (Brain Candy). Enjoy!

That sea monster movie has a lot of eaten alive, getting killed and a lot of swearing too, but in that movie, I like the part where they were in that jet ski while that ship was exploding in that movie, that was my favorite part in that movie!

You don't watch this movie for the dialog, actors, story, or the acting. There are so many holes in this movie, not to mention guns that apparently never run out of ammo… who cares! Seriously I am not sure why it is but this movie makes you over look a lot of bad… EVERYTHING… and keeps you entertained. It's just a fun movie. I didn't even know this movie existed until a couple of years ago when I saw it on TV. It's one of those films that if its on TV, I have to watch it. Anyhow if you don't want to think too hard (trust me, even if you do, don't) and you just want a fun action / monster movie. This is it. Watch it. you will love it.

it's funny when joey always says things out of nowhere and it's scary when the big mutant monster is eating people ALIVE

...rented it. I'd never seen it. dull & annoying...but yes, funny at times and campy - if you're in the mood for that.

I am a huge horror movie buff, you know the kinda guy who sits on the sofa taking up space waching horror flicks on FearNet or on DVD/Blu-Ray. I first saw this film back in 1999 and to this day (8-9 years later) it has remained one of my all time favorite horror films. The plot is good, the jokes are funny if you keep an open mind, the cast was just as wonderful and the Spec. Effects on the creature were supurb in detail. Before this movie I only had three top horror films, Alien, Aliens and Alien 3. I own the DVD of this movie, I own it on my cable box at home and also on my computer/iPod touch, I don't do that for just any run of the mill horror flick! I keep holding my hope that one day they make a second installment for the movie. In today's world of horror movies, none of them hold a candle to this movie or the alien films, granted that today's movies are so dripping with CGI and gore that you think it is great, but keep in mind they (the movie makers) did that because of the lack of a plot. If you want a movie that delivers on all fronts and more, I highly suggest this film!

this is a really great movie. I first saw it on TV but just had to see it again. You will want to watch it over and over again once you see it!

This is a fun movie... it's got a lot of action, intentional humor, and an ending that'll make you smile. Sure there's some formula here, sure the characters are over the top, but the result is an action/horror movie with great monsters and characters you'll become attached to - I dare you not do dig Joey's act.

It is gory but who cares its a monster in china that attacks a cruise ship I've been on 23 cruise ships and i always wondered if that would happen

Awsome, really fun movie. I bought it on a whim and I'm glad I did. Recommended to anyone who likes great, fun, films.
