Description

Legendary director Wes Craven (A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET) re-invented and revitalized the slasher-horror genre with this funny, clever and scary first film in the hit franchise. After a series of mysterious deaths, an offbeat group of scary movie fans become the target of a masked killer. As the body count begins, it's clear that the rules must be followed, and everyone's a suspect. David Arquette, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Matthew Lillard, Rose McGowan, Skeet Ulrich, and Drew Barrymore star in this semi-satire, all-scares first instalment.

I already bought this movie… It’s in my library… Why is Apple uploading more than one of the same movie so other people will purchase it on accident and then not be able to get their money back… I almost purchased this and was almost convinced that I didn’t purchase this until I stopped the purchase and looked in my iTunes library and sure enough there it is… So why does iTunes have two copies of this movie… There are also many other titles that have copies as well… Steve Jobs is rolling in his grave as to how downhill Apple went in the past 10 years… Absolutely ridiculous now… Nowwww... Onto the review of SCREAM… 10 stars out of 10… One of the classic most greatest horror movies of all time that revived an error WHEN horror movies were dead… From beginning to end this movie is flawless!!
  • The BEST 90s Horror Movie!!!

It’s ironic that I would have that opinion since there are a lot of great horror movies that were released in the 90s. Body Parts, Tremors, Bad Moon, From Dusk Till Dawn, and The Relic are all 90s horror movies that have a lot of fans, as they should since they are all good movies. But while I like all of the movies I mentioned, there is no better movie from that entire decade that I like better than Scream. From the first moment I watched it, I loved it! That terrifying opening scene with Drew Barrymore, the truly suspenseful mystery, the hilarious sense of humor that allows this movie to laugh at itself and its entire genre, the hip, fun cast of characters, the nightmarish climax. To me, there is nothing not to love about this supremely fun movie! It only makes it even better that it was directed by Wes Craven, a favorite horror director of mine long before Scream came along. Just count me among the relentless legions of fans who will always recommend this scary gem to ALL fans of terrifying and fun horror movies with a wicked sense of humor!👍🏻👍🏻

Wes Craven, God rest his eternal soul, Creates another Horror leviathan along with Nightmare on Elm Street! Yeah Scream was a Horror gem that before 96 we did not see coming! It pokes fun of the horror genre with goofy capsular wit yet still has horrifying fright factor nonetheless! We are talking Horror Cult Classic!

So far I have seen this movie and I liked it, almost as much as I like science fiction movies. This 90’s adventure is great. However, there are some characters I dislike in this one. Other characters are likable, including Sidney Prescott, which is my favorite character in Scream. The only characters I obviously hate in this movie are Billy and Stu because they used the Ghostface costume. People are supposed to hate Billy and Stu. Stu Macher? I hate him more than I hate Billy Loomis. Almost as much as I hate that sorority house killer in Black Christmas.

Popular isn’t always great. Wes was clearly running out of ideas. Borrowed one too many plot points from other films. Pass
