Description

The Justice League has always been Earth’s first and last defense, but with the imminent arrival of Darkseid and the horrors of war that will follow, everything is about to change! With time running out, the Justice League will need all of its members and their powers like never before. But even the world’s most powerful Super Heroes, including new member John Constantine, may not be able to make a difference against Darkseid’s legions. Witness the most shocking battle in the DC Universe, where survival itself is a victory.

Whoever made this hates DC Comics. This is the gruesome sadistic end that you would write for someone you think deserves to be punished. Every character is punished in ways that prove the writers hate the Justice League . In addition to the bleakness and misanthropic tone, this is also the most calculated, contrived, over-constructed plot possible (though marketing executives clapping). Superheroes who have faced down immortal gods and invincible monsters die in seconds at the hands of mere nameless drones. Others are disfigured and turned into slaves (again, with the sadism). The world is over. Yet the movie still throws in every hail-mary pass imaginable, every double-cross cliche, every salvation-is-in-the-heart trope. It pulls in the most profitable DC franchises that cursory market analysis could reveal but doesn't devote any believable amount of time to any of the characters or plotlines, with possibly the exception of Constantine, who honestly deserves his own movie. This wasn't it. This is Armageddon in a teacup. Too high-stakes; too incoherent; TOO TOO MUCH. This was five or six movies worth of plot surgically grafted together at the behest of business executives. I'm imagining a meeting in an executive suite somewhere in which I hear the words, "Just end it! We don't care how. Kill eveybody off if you want. Just make sure you include Suicide Squad, Batman, and Teen Titans. We want it ALL over with. We'll reboot in five years, so nothing you do matters."

A grand finale that’s darkly fitting to the gritty aspects of DC comics.

This is based off a lot of the story ideas in Zach Snyder’s original Justice League Arc before the studio execs at DC stepped in. DC stick to developing good animated stories and leave live action to Marvel.

This movie was awesome. The plot, the action, the violence. Seeing so many beloved characters getting killed or changed in so many ways. This is my favorite animated movie as of now with The Flashpoint Paradox being a close second.
