Golden Globe® winner Renée Zellweger delivers a dazzling performance as showbiz legend Judy Garland. Thirty years after rising to global stardom in THE WIZARD OF OZ, Garland arrives in London to perform a five-week sold-out run at The Talk of the Town. While preparing for the shows, Garland battles with management, reminisces with friends and adoring fans, and embarks on a whirlwind romance with soon-to-be fifth husband Mickey Deans — all while bravely struggling to overcome intensifying anxiety and physical decline. Featuring some of her best- known songs, the film celebrates the unyielding spirit and matchless talent of "the world’s greatest entertainer.”

  • Incredibly touching ❤️

She’s a legend, larger than life. This glimpse into a small part of her last years , is incredibly well done, acted and I cried my eyes out at the end. A woman with a heart of gold and not a cent in her pocket. Oscar material 💕💋🌹🌈💜

Renee Zellweger was wonderful as Judy Garland! Such a tragic life! Enjoyed the flashbacks as well.
  • Horrendous

Being a Judy Garland fan, I was excited to see this film. Unfortunately, it can only be described as an absolute disaster that does a great disservice not only to Judy Garland the person, but also her legacy. The script is utterly contrived and focuses almost exclusively on the negative aspects of her life - why almost nothing positive from such a wonderful person and career was included is truly baffling. As for the acting, I respect Renee, but unfortunately not for one second did I believe that I was seeing Judy on screen. Whether this was due to her acting, the script or the horrible direction is unclear. Why the decision was made not to use Judy’s voice is equally baffling. With all respect to Renee, what one heard was very, very far removed from the real thing. I recently saw La Vie en Rose which was an absolutely wonderul and true tribute to Edith Piaf. If this movie had been a tenth as good, it would have been great.
  • I see the Oscar already

This was such an amazing movie! Renée portrayed Judy garland amazingly. Just like judys daughter Liza said in an interview “ I think it’s good if people see the other side of mother and how she’s wasn’t always happy etc.” Renée did just that. Can’t wait to see Renée holding that Oscar! ❤️
  • A beautifully, heartbreaking movie

Yes this film is very depressing. What the heck would anyone else expect, Judy's life wasn"t a bed of roses zests just face it. An addict through and through created by Hollywood and we lost her so young because of Hollywood. This isnt fiction - its biographical - so expect to witness how truly tragicher story was. Judy was raped by thoise disgusting hollywood trolls since she was a teen, and then cast aside like she was nothing. No wonder she used so much. I loved Renes performance and all around a solid BBC film.

Movie misses the rich content of Garland’s life. Definitely not a biopic. Should have started at Wizard of Oz success and moved forward rather than 1969 and looking backwards. Fictionalizing parts of Garland’s life is a disservice to her actual legacy.
