  • A story that needs to be told

What an incredible journey Andy Irons had! Saddest part was that he never got to meet his son. This story is not just about a surfing legend, but about an incredible plight of one human battling mental illness. The drug companies and their role in the demise of so many beautiful souls is also a story we need to keep we can wake up stop the greed.

I can't imagine what it would be like to experience the highs and lows that this man experienced throughout his life. So much pain, and so much glory. I feel so sad for him, while at the same time admiring him. I believe he's now in continuous peace.
  • Exceptional film deserving of Andy’s name

I’ve always been a fan of Andy Irons and he has influenced my surfing and life in so many ways. I couldn’t wait for the film to be made and wasn’t able to find it in a theatre near me when it was finally made. But it was worth the wait! What I really love about this film is that it doesn’t sugar coat anything. It gets really heavy at points but you can tell everyone wanted the REAL story told. It’s a film not just for surfers because of its focus on mental health and addiction. Virtually anyone can relate to this film! Thank you for finally making this film available to the masses. Aloha Andy!!!
  • Honesty

Very raw and honest portrayal of a truley conflicted soul. Brother Bruce's acknowledgment of his and Andy's own personal accounabilty (absent the need to "point fingers" of others' involvment..) is the key that unlocks the door towards Personal Recovery. This movie is straight up PUNK ROCK!!! Andy must be stoked that his life's story will go on to serve as a lighthouse in pointing the lost on home to the path of Recovery... Love and Peace to all who participated. Aloha from So Cal!! 5 STARS!!!!!
  • "Kissed by God",Seriously?

I happen to have met Mr. Irons and his brother and was indeed more impressed with Bruce and his demeanor. Personally, I think you all are taking this hero worship thing just a little to far. "Kissed by God", Please. (Eye roll)
  • Kissed By God? Really?

    By gkingus
Did Andy ever really know God? Did he love Jesus Christ? I'd say Andy was more into chasing a flavor of the American dream. Jesus is the only true Lord and Savior! Be careful what you consider blessings. If they take you away from Christ, they are evil. Kissed by God? Really?
  • Next level!

One of kind. True legend. The people’s champ! Great honest depiction of a genius and all his flaws.
